The Most Iconic NBA Finals

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a good day. As you can notice, I could not share any blog for a long time. I did not have any time to write because of my school, exams, and other issues but now, I am here with a very beautiful topic. Most iconic NBA Finals. It is 2016 (In my opinion.) I can not wait to tell, Let’s start.

As you know, the 2016 NBA Finals presented the struggle of  Clevland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.  Let’s examine the teams one by one. The first team is Golden State. Their starting five were Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green, and Festus Ezeli. As you guess, Curry, Klay and Green trio was insane. Green was younger than now and he could make more three points. Besides, not only this trio was playing very well. Other players were playing in harmony. Livingston and Iggy were such good actors. They were able to do their part both in defense and offense. Thanks to this, this team broke the NBA record by completing the regular season with 73 wins and 9 losses.

Now it's Clevland's turn. Clevland also finished the eastern conference leader with 57 wins and we can't say that they had a hard time until the final. Their starting five are Kyrie, Jr. Smith, LeBron James, Kevin Love, and Tristan Thompson. In fact, this team was perfect for a commander like LeBron. Thompson, who always fought under the rim and was a master of offensive rebounds. Kevin Love, who can shoot and has a physique. A Jr. who can take any shot, no matter what position he's in or who's up against him. Smith. He's a shaky-handed Kyrie who can always go to the basket and finish or feed his teammates, no matter who he's one on one with. I don't want to talk about Cleveland’s bench, if you look at the players you'll understand why.

Now that we remember the rosters of the teams, we can move on to the story. Golden State broke the NBA regular season record by playing an excellent game, especially with Curry's leadership. This situation did not change in the play-offs. They easily reached the final without giving their opponents a chance and were shown as favorites.

On the other hand, Clevland had spent the regular season a little more cautiously in order not to tire Lebron too much, and despite this, they became the leader of the east. Like Golden State, they did not have much difficulty on the way to the play-off finals. They knew they weren't favorites, but they had a gun. LeBron James.

Golden State entered the series quickly and easily won the first 2 games at home. The matches ended with a margin of 15 and 33 points, respectively. Both these scores and the atmosphere in the game had filled the Clevland front with pessimism. In Game 3, Clevland came out under LeBron's lead and did what he had to do, the series was 2-1. In Game 4, the hosts were Clevland and they were expected to win, but despite their good percentage start to the game, they were shattered in one of the classic Golden State 3rd periods. At the end of this match, the series was 3-1. No team in NBA history came back from 3-1 and won the championship. The truth of the matter was that either history would be made or LeBron would have to hand over the history he created to Golden State. Every match was now a life-and-death match. Clevland was very lucky in one respect. Draymond Green would not be able to play in Game 5 due to a flagrant 1 foul. LeBron and his friends made good use of it and won the game by 15 points. This match may be the most satisfying match I have ever watched in my life. Kyrie and LeBron each scored 41 points. It was time for the last game to be played in Clevland. On the Golden State front, Curry's unstoppable game was lost in this match, as no one but Klay could accompany him. Only Klay accompanied Curry on a scoring basis. It wasn't much different from work on the Clevland front either. They were doing well as a team that had committed itself to LeBron. It finally came... GAME 7

I still remember what Klay said to the media before Game 7 started, "We've only had 9 losses in a whole season, if you had previously asked us if we wanted the championship to be tied to a home game, our answer would be yes...". Dude, I think this is a bit ambitious. It takes a lot of courage to speak so definitively when the god of this game is standing in front of you. The 7th game was breaking through. I remember very well that I broke my ankle while playing basketball and my foot was in a cast, I could hardly move, but I couldn't stop jumping on the bed because of the excitement of the match.

The end was approaching, the other team was taking the lead in each attack. It was difficult to shoot. The quality of the defenses also decreased due to everyone's excitement and fatigue and could go to the basket. My friend, it is very difficult to explain, you know, I suggest you open it and watch it many times. With 1 minute and 50 seconds remaining in the match and the situation being equal to 89-89, the universe fell silent for a moment and a single sound was heard. BLOCK BY JAMES!!!! I cannot tell you how I felt at that moment. I didn't even feel the pain in my ankle from excitement. Then, with 55 seconds left in the game, Kyrie took the stage. Klay was defending him and he was a very good defender. He immediately took Curry in front of him with the help of the pick. After that, the universe fell into complete silence again and only one sound came out... KYRIE IRVING FROM DOWNTOWN!!!!!! Clevland took the lead with 3 points. The rest of the game was spent with tactical fouls from Golden State, and the Clevland Cavaliers became NBA champions for the first time in their history.

I have watched this final, which I think is the best finale in NBA history, many times and I am sure that I will watch it even more. Everyone who loves basketball will continue to watch without getting bored. Although we are happy that they offered us this magnificent feast, I am also a little sad because it is very difficult to get over.
