New NBA or Old NBA

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a good day. Today I am here with the very hard question which is the old NBA or today's NBA. As you guess, finding this question's answer is not very easy, but we will compare these two options from three different perspectives. They are player quality, viewing pleasure, and difficulty level. Before starting, maybe you can guess, the next argument will be about the G.O.A.T situation. After this info, let's start.

First of all, I think the player quality topic is visibly clear. Everyone who has a little bit of knowledge about the NBA knows that today's players are more complicated according to old players. We have to evaluate this topic on high-level players and average players. Let's talk about high-level players. Who are they? The answer is Giannis, Jokic, Luka, LeBron, Embiid, and KD... The common way of these players is being all-round. They are almost making everything on the court. Jokic, Luka, and LBJ are playmakers but they can reach 30+ points easily. KD, Booker, SGA, and Harden are scorers but they can make 7 dimes and 7 boards easily with 25+ points. AD, Embiid, and KAT are centers who make their names thanks to their physicality properties but they can shoot, can play face down to defenders. I will not talk about Giannis, he deserves huge writing about him. That means that the new NBA pushes players to be better and better. If you want to be an elite player in the new NBA, you have to make everything over the average. Let's talk about average players now. I can give these names as an average player; Aaron Gordon, Mikael Bridges, Gordon Hayward... If you look at their stats or any other average players' stats, you will realize that their stats can race with the old average players or their stats are better. Today NBA needs principal properties like making 3pt, predisposition to fast-break, and defending. If they want new contracts from teams, they have to make these at least average. I admit you know that you have more attack points in the NBA than before, I did not say that because of that. You can describe this as a contradiction in terms of stats, but they're also the condition that comes into play. Now, let's talk about old players. Who are old elite players? They are Jordan, Kobe, Iverson, Hakeem, Shaq... The names are very huge, but are they? I joked :D. They are very big players but they are on the top thanks to their one property. Hakeem's foot works, Allen's drives, Shaq's low-posts, young Kobe's athletism, old Kobe's shooting. They are very effective in one thing. Jordan was not the same. He was making everything. I think we are using his name in the G.O.A.T. argument because of that. He was amazing. As I said, old superstars were very good about one thing, they had not to be better. The game did not push them they had a shallow game style according to new players.

The second evaluation criterion was viewing pleasure. This topic's answer can change easily according to the audience. Although I like fast plays or plays which has a flow, I love post-up plays. As you know there is almost no team in NBA that plays low post. In my opinion, slow plays are better. As I said, it depends on the audience. As a sum, the old playing style is better but today's style is harder.

The third and last perspective is difficulty level. I can say that easily, today's NBA is more difficult than in old years'. You are making lots of attacks, you have to defend much better players, You have to shoot more... You have to make more and better everything. There is a huge difficult difference, this is indisputable.

In a conclusion, the old NBA was nice but today's NBA is much better. This is my opinion but you can see that with your eyes. NBA is more professional and that is what we want. Stay with bbal.
