The Most Effective Player Types for Each Position

Hi everyone, I hope you are all good. Today, I want to write about the most effective player types. As you guess, this writing will be subjective, but I think lots of people will agree with me. We will make that position by position. Let's start.

The first position is the point guard. When we think of today's elite tier point guards, These names meet us; Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, Damian Lillard, and James Harden. These players are insane but I think the NBA is changing and the athletic players will be more and more effective in the next years. I can say these names for example; Ja Morant, DeAron Fox, Dejounte Murray, Lamelo Ball, and SGA... As you know, in today's NBA the coaches are not waiting for a lot of effort from their point guards, They want more creativity in attacks from them. As I said, although your guards are not good defenders, they can resolve this problem thanks to their athleticism. As you know, point guards are waiting for their matches at the 3pt line, not in the draw or low post. If your guards are athletic and fast, you can go fast-break easily and we can see that fast-break attacks are more effective than half-court plays.

The second position is shooting guard. I am old-fashioned about that. Today's examples are Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Zach LaVine...  OK, they are good, but the shooting guards have to be good defenders and good point shooters. For example, Klay Thompson, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart... If your shooting guards are like these names, it makes easy everything. You can match him with the enemy's scorer guard and your creative player(point guard) does not have to waste his energy to defend. I can say this about attacks if your shooting guard is a good point shooter, he can create good space on the court and it makes everything easy about attacks.

The third position is small forwards. As you know, this position's players are giving directions to NBA. For example; LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard... They are elite and huge names. I think these names are very effective and good players for today's NBA and next year. Being all-around is the most important thing about this position. This position's players have to make everything on the court. They have to be good defenders, good shooters, and good rebounders, and they have to have good physic... Because of that, the names that I said, are elite players. They are old but there are good young players for next years. They are, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, OG Anunouby...

Our fourth position is power forward. I can say these names for example of elite power forwards; Kevin Garnet, Kevin Love, and Draymond Green. They were very good in their prime time. They played very well thanks to their physical properties. They were good rebounder and their shooting skills were not very bad but today, they are not big names. Today's elite power forwards are Giannis Antetounmpo, Evan Mobley, Pascal Siakam, and Zion Williamson, and Antony Davis. Maybe you can realize that these names have too big physical anomalies like old elite power forwards. They are making everythink. Shooting, passing, rebounding. I have to say that, stroke lenght is very important for power forwards.

Our fifth and last position is center. I am also old-fashioned about that. I love old-fashioned centers like Shaq, Hakeem, and Dikembe... They were very very good defenders and they were playing near the low post mostly. I love this playing style. They were huge defenders. Today's elite centers are Rudy Gobert, Nikola Jokic, Karl Antony Towns, and Joel Embiid. These names are similar to old names but mobility is in the foreground. That's OK but I think centers have to be strong as a pig and resistant like a tank.

Today I explained my favorite player types for each position. It can change according to anything but they are like that in my opinion. You can comment your ideas. Stay with Basketball...
